The terms. Short enough to read.
What you're agreeing to by using this site, and how working with us is set up. No traps in the small print — this is the small print.
Who we are
This website is run by Ruby Roo [legal entity name and company number to be confirmed]. Questions about these terms: kim@rubyroo.uk.
Using this website
The site and everything on it is provided for general information. We keep it accurate and current, but we don't guarantee it's complete or error-free, and we may change content at any time. Use it lawfully and don't attempt to break it, scrape it for resale, or misrepresent it as your own.
Our content isn't advice about your situation
Articles on our Insights pages explain how things work — apprenticeship funding, curriculum design, business strategy — as clearly as we can. They're general guidance, not professional advice about your specific circumstances. Funding rules and inspection frameworks change; before acting on anything significant, check the current position or ask us. If you engage us, the advice we give you under that engagement is a different matter, and it's covered by the engagement terms.
Intellectual property — this site
The content, design and branding of this website belong to Ruby Roo. You're welcome to link to it, quote it with attribution, and share it. You're not welcome to republish it wholesale or pass it off as yours.
Working with us
Services are sold under a written proposal or engagement agreement with a fixed scope, fixed price and defined deliverables — that document, not this page, governs each engagement. Two standing principles apply to everything we deliver:
- Ownership. Everything we produce remains the intellectual property of Ruby Roo until delivered and paid for. Once paid, you own the output for your own use — not for resale or redistribution.
- Human-made. Everything we deliver is designed and quality-checked by a person. Where AI assists, it's a tool we supervise, not the author you're paying for.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited — like liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Beyond that, the website is provided as-is: to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its general content. Liability connected to an engagement is dealt with in the engagement agreement.
Links to other places
We link out to things we reference — government guidance, sources, tools. Those sites aren't ours, and we're not responsible for what they say or do with your data.
The legal frame
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If we update these terms, the date at the top changes.
